Memory Box is a mobile application that lets you record a fairy tale for your child, or an audio recording of a life story, and save them in a separate, private cloud. This is an app-design project: Wave created the visual style of the application and developed the structure and the design of its screens — the interface, the flow between screens and the overall look and feel of the product. App and interface design is a recurring part of Wave’s work: the studio also designed the app screens and the App Store and Google Play listings for the RAY suite of driver apps. Memory Box applies that same UX/UI capability to a consumer product built around personal, emotional content — family stories and a child’s fairy tales in a parent’s voice — where the design has to feel warm, calm and trustworthy.
