How we build a brand

Brand platform

We start every project with a brand platform.

It's a document that maps the product's rational and emotional benefits, places the brand in its competitive market, defines its values, and identifies the audience. From that audience insight we shape the brand message and positioning. Everything that follows in the identity is built on this platform.

Visual concept

From the positioning we develop a visual concept — the key image the audience will associate with your brand. Around it we build the rest: graphic techniques, a color palette, photography and illustration styles, typefaces, and visual elements.

Style media

Every point where someone meets the brand can carry its identity. Most are digital now — social media, channels, websites, banners.

Physical ones: uniforms, packaging, signage, interiors, vehicles, merch, business cards, letterheads.

We choose the set for each business, by what it actually needs.

AI tools

We build AI tools inside the project, so the brand can keep making its own content after the handoff — on brand, in the right visual style and tone of voice. The identity generates what each channel and moment needs, and stays consistent as it does.

Brand book

Once the layouts are done, we work out the rules for applying each element — largely through trial and error. Those rules and the layouts come together in a brand book. As the business grows or changes, the brand book lets you make new materials that keep the brand consistent.
