About Polyana IT

Polyana IT is a community of IT specialists that formed in Krasnaya Polyana in 2020. They wanted to look like a serious organization rather than a series of random meetups, so they could partner with major sponsors. Wave built the brand and identity around one idea: uniting people with a strongly technical background. The whole system runs on the interaction of a circle and a square — the circle for communication and soft skills, the square for hard skills — because professional expertise is central to how these members see themselves. Wave made combinable stickers, a logo simple enough for any member to draw with a finger on frosted glass or with a spray can, AR T-shirts, and packaging for the community's own branded beer and coffee, plus sports-event T-shirts; the circle and square interact constantly in motion across it all. Wave also designed the sponsor presentations. With this identity in place from the start, the community grew from zero to 2,500 members between 2020 and 2022 — from meetups of 30–40 people to paid conferences featuring Silicon Valley investors that drew around 500 people offline and over a thousand online — and the sponsor decks worked, bringing sponsors in.
